Viewing the meeting summary

  1. Click the "Meeting summary" tab

    Once the transcript is available, click the "Meeting summary" tab. If a summary has not been generated yet, Minute AI will use Amazon Nova Pro (opens in new tab) via Amazon Bedrock to create one based on your selected template.

  2. Review the structured minutes

    The AI generates a comprehensive set of meeting minutes organised into clear sections:

Meeting Overview

Date, time, attendees, and purpose of the meeting

Executive Summary

A concise summary of the meeting's key outcomes

Discussion Points

Major topics discussed, with context and different perspectives raised

Key Decisions

Decisions made during the meeting, clearly stated

Action Items

Tasks assigned, with responsible parties and deadlines where mentioned

Next Steps

Follow-up actions and any agreed next meeting date

Citations and traceability

A key feature of Minute AI is that the generated minutes include citations that link back to specific sections of the transcript. This means:

  • Every claim is traceable -- you can verify what was actually said
  • Context is preserved -- click a citation to see the full discussion
  • Accuracy is verifiable -- compare the AI summary with the original words

Try this: Click on a citation link within the minutes to jump to the corresponding section of the transcript. This is especially useful for verifying that action items and decisions have been captured accurately.

Try a different template

You can regenerate the minutes using a different template to see how the output changes:

  1. Click "Generate New"

    Look for the option to generate a new summary or change the template.

  2. Select a different template

    Try switching between "General", "Cabinet", or "Planning Committee" to see how each template structures the same meeting content differently.

  3. Compare the outputs

    Notice how different templates emphasise different aspects -- a Cabinet template highlights motions and votes, while a General template focuses on discussion and actions.

How Amazon Nova Pro generates minutes

Amazon Nova Pro (opens in new tab) is a foundation model available through Amazon Bedrock. It analyses the full transcript, understands the structure and flow of the discussion, and generates minutes that follow the selected template's format. The model is instructed to be accurate and to only include information that was actually discussed in the meeting.

Troubleshooting: Minutes not generating

If the meeting summary does not appear:

  • Ensure the transcription has completed first -- check the Transcript tab
  • Minute generation takes 1 to 3 minutes depending on transcript length
  • Check the CloudWatch Logs for any Amazon Bedrock errors
  • Try refreshing the page after a few minutes
