Explore Accounts and Transactions

Browse the pre-seeded account holders, view their details, and explore the transaction history across multiple council fund types.

The Accounts page shows 40 pre-seeded account holders with realistic UK council data — names, addresses, postcodes, and outstanding balances.
Click 'View' on any account to see full details including title, name, address, fund type, and current balance.
The Transactions page shows 500 pre-seeded payments across fund types like Council Tax, Parking Fines, and Business Rates. Use the comprehensive search filters to find specific transactions.

Expected outcome

  • You can browse 40 account holders with names, addresses, and balances
  • You can view individual account details including fund type and payment history
  • You can search and filter 500 transactions by fund type, date, amount, and more

Browse account holders

  1. Click Accounts in the left sidebar. You'll see 40 pre-seeded account holders across 2 pages.
  2. Each account shows the reference number, name, address, and current balance (in pounds sterling).
  3. Try the search filters — search by account reference, surname, fund type, postcode, or address.
  4. Click View on any account to see full details — title, name, address, fund name, period debit/credit, and creation date.

Explore transactions

  1. Click Transactions in the sidebar. You'll see 500 pre-seeded transactions across 25 pages.
  2. Transactions span multiple fund types — Council Tax, Parking Fines, Business Rates, Benefit Overpayments, and more.
  3. Each transaction shows the date, method of payment (MOP), receipt reference, fund type, account, narrative, and amount.
  4. Use the comprehensive search filters — filter by fund type, MOP code, date range, amount, account reference, or narrative.
Real-world context: In a live council deployment, these transactions would come from citizen payments via GOV.UK Pay, bank file imports, counter payments, and automated standing orders.
