Access the Register

Find the Digital Planning Register URL from the CloudFormation outputs and open it in your browser.

Expected outcome

  • CloudFormation stack shows CREATE_COMPLETE status
  • RegisterUrl output is visible in the Outputs tab
  • The Digital Planning Register loads in your browser

How to find the register URL

  1. Open the CloudFormation console

    Go to CloudFormation console in us-east-1 (opens in new tab)

  2. Find your stack

    Look for a stack containing digital-planning-register in the name. The status should be CREATE_COMPLETE

  3. Go to the Outputs tab

    Click the stack name, then select the Outputs tab. You'll see:

    Output What it is
    RegisterUrl The register URL (HTTPS via CloudFront)
    CloudWatchLogsUrl Link to application logs
    ECSClusterUrl Link to the ECS cluster console
  4. Open the register

    Click the RegisterUrl value to open the Digital Planning Register. You should see the homepage with a council selection interface.

    No login is required — this is a public-facing register designed for residents.

No login needed: Unlike the BOPS back-office, the Digital Planning Register is a public application. Residents can browse and search planning applications without creating an account.
